I was taking pics of dad's (member nyabc) newly aquired White Town and Country and I got the Minneapolis Moline out to take a group shot.

Dad bought the Minnie brand new with all the accessories. It has the rototiller, snowblower, brinley cultivator and of course the mower deck.

These are of course Jacobsen built 10 horses. It's interesting to see that the White was equipped with lights and the lighter. I had always stared at the blank on the Minnie while mowing as a kid and teen, wondering what went there. I figured one blank was for lights, just never figured on the lighter.

A side note: Both tractors have the battery box covers.

I must admit I had never heard of the White Town and Country. I never knew about them, but when I saw the tractor, I knew it was just like dad's Minnie.

They have both seen alot of service. The Minnie has been pretty much retired. I can attest that he got his monies worth from that one. Niether will win a beauty contest, but there is something about those two. A rare pair indeed.

I think it's neat that they are different brands, yet are so similar. Nice pair to have in the herd, especially since they belonged to your Dad.

Thanks for the pictures . I'm guessing the left handle on the MM is to engage the PTO ? Does the White use a electric PTO ? Al

The phrase " Twins separated at Birth" come to mind...

Thanks for the pictures, those are really nice GTs. Thanks Al for saying something about the PTOs, in the one pic, you can just see a wire coming out from behind the PTO cover... I would've missed that if you hadn't said something.

Here's a pic from another thread of the dash, see the switch upper LHS. Very cool.

Awesome pair of garden tractors Dave. I think they look better in their work clothes then they would restored but then I like seeing them in their work attire.

Pretty sturdy looking machines. Is that a Peerless rear end in them?

Al, yes, that's the parking brake set. Pull while pushing pedal and it sets. The light switch pulls out. Needs a new knob.

George, I like tractors as they are as well, if intended to keep working. These will continue to light work.

Brian, I don't know. Perhaps someone else knows.

Great machines Dave. I have a Jacobson 800 Chief, and have always admired the line.

Yes ,Brian it is a inverted peerless; like the JD's and masseys. My moline 11o has the factory cig. lighter and my parted ford 100 did not. Shawn
