It was mainly white, It had 8" rear rims, I think. It had the 70's style decals, from what I know about Bolens.... which isn't much.

Todd. your hood doesn't have a cutout for the taller air filter, so you have an earlier model. Only way to dial in the year is through the engine DOM. I'd say 69 or 70. You have to use the earlier type foam element with a wire cage center. The wire cage was missing from my early model, so I made the cage from expanded mesh steel for the element to slip over. This link is to the foam element.

Sure, I don't need the sears stuff. You wouldn't happen to have some wide rear rims kickin around. I want to put 26x12's on it. Maybe we could work a trade?

I don't have any 'wide' wheels, sorry.

I believe it is stamped on the flywheel shroud, like behind the air filter/intake if I'm remembering right. Get the numbers, then post them please.

I looked all over the engine and I could not find any number. There is a decal by the air filter but no number. Maybe it's below the frame?

I'll chewck mine tomorrow to be sure of the location, but I think I'm right where mine were. Took some looking though, due to paint filling in the stamp marks.

It's the code # that tells the DOM. First 2 digits is the year, the 3rd & 4th digit represents the month, the next 2 digits stands for the day of the month, then the remaining digits represent the line it was built on.

I ordered the filter. The reason the air cleaner is off is because the choke is not hooked up and you can't reach the choke with it on.
I still can't see any serial number on that B&S.
Does any one have a picture of the control labels? This thing seems to have a million knobs and levers, I am not sure what all of them are supposed to do?

btw, I love that it has a foot and hand control for the hydro.... I have never seen that before on a GT.
