Sorry about the Broken axle :(

I had that happen to my 850.
Its not a very common thing to have happen but I remember Bruce saying that the part was the weak spot in the transmission.

My only concern would be the driveshaft. Since the G11 has that belt tensioning system for a clutch, it may be a different length....
I'd probably wait until you find a 3 speed to keep it more original.

I have a 3 speed out of a G10 but shipping may be costly.

GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the G11 Running, Mowing, and now DRIVING!!!!! I ended up putting a 6 speed from a 1050 in it. Took some time( about 2 hrs ) to swap in the 6 speed with the diff lock but that was because I never did a tubeframe trans swap before and I ran into a couple little mishapps but its all up and driving now.

Brian, as far as the driveshaft length not knowing if it would be long enough....it in fact was. All I had to do was swap the little adapter that allows the driveshaft and trans to interlock. The G11 originally had a keyed shaft where as the 1050 had a spline shaft. Just unbolted 2 out of the 4 bolts ( 1/2" nut and allen screw ) and swapped the adapter and that was it. Other than that it was a direct bolt in.

I will take a vid sometime soon for ya's till then Thanks for all the comments and have a good one.....Brad

Glad to hear you got it running and driving! :dancingbanana:
'
Good to know the drive shafts are the same length. I never really measured the 2 before so I wasn't sure if they were different sizes or not.

So, Brad, you now have a 12-speed tractor if you incorporate a shifter for the hi/lo range on the trans ?

Yeah I suppose I do. It moves along really good now and I left the trans in low range. I used the original Trans top cover so there is no lever for the high low unless I reach underneath. If I have the high range on the pulleys and put the trans in high, wouldnt I go really fast????
