As you get older your skin will get thinner and you will be more susceptible to skin tears. I have to wear gloves when working or I'm continually leaking from some place or another. All I have to do is bump myself on a corner and it's another leak.
My wife is continually repairing skin tears on me. If your taking any kind of blood thinner (aspirin included) it just aggravates the situation.
Watch for infection.

My hide is still pretty thick, but a barb on the fence punctured my arm....just a tiny hole. I know about the thinning skin though, as dad tears his skin quite easily & he's on blood thinners too. But then he's also 85yrs old.

Daniel you have had a rough weekend. It sounds like you will be OK. Hopefully the calf is OK as well.

Daniel, sorry you have a swollen eye. Just so you know, you are in good company.

My Baby got stung tonight at the park. She's doing OK, but her whole right side is swollen.
