so after working for 3 years straight without any time off for vacation i decided to take a month off:smile1:
ended up helping a couple of friends and a neighbour take hay off of a few fields, got pretty sick with the heat, worked on a couple of tractors, alot of chainsaw stuff and the usual work around the house that always needs to be done no matter how many times you do it. and did a little of the relaxing thing at a good friends cottage. of course, i don't have any interweb at home, only at work. this will be rectified before this winter. but i digress....:blush2:
i pass by a few roads on the way to work that have less than common names, and i'm sure other people do as well, and figured it would be fun to post some of the more odd or humorous names here. no photo chopped or other peoples pics, just something from around your area. a pic you took.
this is one from about 10 minutes from me:

There is a gravel road near us that is named "Paveless".
I always thought it was a fitting name for a road with no pavement.

Well, that's just too weird.
I was reading through the posts, and intended to tell about a street down the road that had been renamed.

It use to be called Dubbie Rd.
It never took more than 3 months for that sign to disapear. They'd put up a new one, and then it was gone.
I watched this for years. For those that may not know, Dubbie was another name for a Marijuana cigarrete back in the 70's.
They finally smartened up, and now it's called Easy Street.

We have an easy street here as well,

I cant get a picture of it cause this one is about 35 miles from me. but there is a a road that was named Dead Indian, Then that was not politically correct so they changed it the Dead Indian Memorial Hwy, That still made some of the people around here mad so now it will be changed again. But everyone still knows the Hwy as Dead Indian.
