I unloaded that old Bolens...anyone know how heavy a 1556 is? My son & I pushed it up our rather steep driveway and it was a load indeed. I did a power wash to get some idea what I had in store.....lot of debris came out of the area of the transmission cooler. I didn't see any obvious leaks anywhere but the wiring system seems to be the worst off. I would appreciate any tips as to how to start tracing wiring problems. I did put a fresh battery in it and try to get it to turn over before I loaded it at my dads. Nothing happened when I tried the key but I did get it to turn over by touching a wire directly from the battery to the starter. I will attempt to upload some pics.

Curb weight on that machine should be right in the neighbor hood of 750-800lbs

Do you have any manuals for this machine? Your best bet would be to download one from this site, It'll have the wiring schematics and everything.

And yes the Tube frame hydros don't push very easily.

If you can get it running that 1156 will be an awesome machine. Check out those manuals they are a big help.
