looks just like mine how does the belt go for the deck
Over the pulleys! Just kidding. It's easier to figure out than it would be for me to try to explain without a diagram. Just pay attention to the pulleys, Flat pulley-back of the belt rides on it, grooved pulley-the "V" side of the belt. I don't have a manual that shows the deck belt, but here's the owners manual for the tractor---> 917.257030 1978 GT 14 Varidrive - Manuals - Garden Tractor Talk - Forums
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

can i use any kind of Electric actuator on the back and how would i go about mounting it
They've had electric actuators for years, I believe the originals bolted onto the hitch like the newer versions do, but I'm not sure if they are interchangeable. Some guys have gotten creative and mounted them under the seat with the actuator coming out the cutout in the upper LH corner of the hitch plate. It sounds like a tight squeeze, but it's much cleaner that way.

ok i got i used it the other day to mow and the belt started sequelling i got a new belt and it is doing the same thing squelling i got pearty tight as tight as i can get it and it still is squelling any info will help
A couple of things come to mind, like Kenny said, look for bad bearings. It could be in the deck or any of the idlers they use to get the belt in the right direction. The other thing could be rust in the v groove. Check each pulley, I've had them "sing" if they have rust on them. This is all assuming the routing is right and the belt isn't rubbing against something solid.
