I just picked up a Jacobsen 1450 (I think) tractor. Great running tractor after I got some of the bugs worked out. Had mower belt problem, carb ajustment , and a fuse problem. It has the 14 hp kohler in it.
Anyway my question is the model number is 53301, the serial number is 14121. Does anybody know exactly what I have and the best place to get parts. I also have this dream of finding a small loader for it. Any help would be great!

:welcometogttalk:Year is normally found by engine #s. Parts can be found At Messicks or your local New Holland dealer. It should cross over to a Ford LGT 145 for which a parts list is in the manual section. Is this an open or closed side tractor? Pics can help. Good luck!

P.S. Your model # 53301 leads me to think it is the same as the Ford LGT 145 as it is an 09JC3301 at Messicks/ New Holland.

P.S.S. Of course, all bets are off if it is earlier than 1972.

Thanks everybody! This website is just full of info and I am glad I found it! I will get some pics soon. I did some reserch on the motor and the Kohler is a 1980. So I think thats what I got. Seems to be a strong running tractor in really good shape. The motor does not smoke at all and the paint has very few scratches. I am going to fix up the deck this winter as this is the only rust on the tractor. It is a huge step up for me since I was running a small mid 90's mtd 12 horse with a 38" deck!
I picked the whole thing up with a 42" deck and a snow/gravel plow for $350. Yea it is older but I don't think the guy knew what he had. Or maybe he did lol!
Kenny, It looks just like yours but mine is in Jacobsen orange. So as long as I can get parts Im good with it.
Also it seems New Holland no longer makes a 3 pt hitch for it, any ideas?
Thanks for all the info!

Buck, on the 3 pt. hitch, you'll just have to make your own. I know a fellow who did an outstanding job on his, but he is not a member here. Glad to here you have a closed side 1450. If you use the online parts look up for New Holland (through Messicks or other) use 09JC3301 for a model #. That is for the Ford LGT 145, a sister to yours. I be waiting to see the pics of your tractor and keep an eye for further questions.

Buck, I just found the thread over at the other place about the 3 pt hitch. I was wrong, he is a member here, skyrydr2. I'll send him a PM and see if he will post some pics for you.

P.S. Just got the okay to post some pics of his (Keith) hitch, so will start a new thread for them.
