There's a fella that has a 1961 cub cadet original for sale.It has no engine just the body original paint,tires minimal surface rust nothing to serious and he is asking no less than $450.00 is this a good price and are they that rare. Thanks for any input you can give me.

Unless there is something special to it like a creeper transmission or its a low low serial number in the 5-600's then no its NOT a good deal. Originals are not that rare of a bird as they made about 60,000 of them and a good running and operating unit can be purchased for that kinda money or less. A plain roller without any options is probably worth around 75-100 bucks.

seems very high, in my area you can pick up a decent running original for 500-600 hundred
