It's getting to be a rain forest around here. Just got over 3/4" in less that an hour. Be glad when monsoon season is over so I can do a few things.

MORE FLOODING!!  Just what we need!!!

This shyt is getting old!!   :wallbanging:  :wallbanging:  :wallbanging:

Looks like a day in the shop working on the neighbor's JD 455.  I feel like crap because I talked him into getting the thing and it is a screwed up mess since he got it!!  The deck lift linkage is all wrong, the PO eliminated the seat sw. and now the thing won't stay running..  Tires are going flat..  ARGGGGHHHHHHH!!  I'll make it right today & tube the tire..   :wallbanging:  :wallbanging:

76° now, humid as a sauna outside, going to 95° they say, with high humidity. Now they're saying it's going to be a little cooler for a couple of days after today. I hope so.

Morning guys. Rain last night but clear this morning. Nice summer day out there but a bit cooler than normal with highs about 65f. Black flies are tapering off now but mosquitoes are on the rise.

Got a little shower yesterday afternoon, but it broke the heat, 95° before the rain, 83° after, but still humid as heck. 75° now, low 80's today, 80's for 3-4 days, then 11 straight days predicted over 90°.

Partly sunny or partly cloudy..  Whichever..  79° for a high..

Worked on the 455 nearly all day yesterday..

Flat tire tubed after removing the nasty, crappy, slimy, gunky FIX-A-FLAT from the inside of the tire and off the rim.  It took a whole roll of paper towels!!  I told the owner that if he ever uses that stuff I'll never fix another tire for him again!  BLEEEEAAAAAACCCCCHHHHHHHH!!!!   :mad2:

Next was the deck..  It would not lift for some reason..  Examined the lifting arm action and the arms were out of proper alignment..  Took off the seat & foot pans and removed & re positioned the lift arms.  Once done, a total re-leveling of the deck ensued..

Steering-  noticed many loose fittings and a few bad tie rod ends.  Sent the owner shopping and after he returned with parts we installed them.  The right one fell apart during removal..  Whew..

Starting problem-  After pringting out & reading the power circuit diagnosis section I found a dirty connection on power module was the trouble along with the shoddy work the PO's so called mechanic had done..  The P/M card was not even fastened to the tractor securely.  I tightened all 4 screws and cleaned connectors.  Found out later that the owner has been washing the side panels off with the hose..  I showed him why that is a big no-no..  Water & electrical parts=baaaaadddd..

Front steering arm plate was loose we tightened it up and installed a wider shim to tighten the steering up more better..

That was enough fun for the day so I then broke out the 4310 and put the driveway back where it belonged after the torrential rains we've been getting..  All good till next time!!   :shoot2:

Asa today will be nicer I'm off to snake a pond drain with a buddy..  The fun never ends!!  Back to work tomorrow..  Yea!!
