Morning guys. Sunny and cold this am. Not getting up anywhere near freezing today. Things are a bit better for ice around here since they sent in a grader to scrape the roads down. It struggled to wing back the snow banks. I was behind it as he tried to widen the road and he was sliding sideways across the icy road from the force needed to move the hard snow /ice back. It's a good thing they did mange to do it because now we are expecting another foot of snow starting tomorrow evening into Sunday. It is going to get up to freezing but so far they are not calling for it to change to rain. We don't need this. We had 2 leaks at the church when it was 50F on Tuesday, both caused by huge ice dams maybe 18" high out by the eves trough. One came down through a drywall boxed in beam and made a mess out of that. I just redid that drywall 2 summers ago when the roof leaked. This time I think it was the wall that leaked. The ice is built up where the wall of the new building meets the lower roof of the older part because the downspout is also right there below this spot. No since repairing it until the ice is melted we can determine where it's leaking. We may need to remove the siding and look at the flashing in that area.

Morning everyone. 36* and raining, what a damp and dreary day. Supposed to rain all day and we are trying to move a clothing store to a new location. That will get a bit interesting.

Morning guys. Snow, Wind, blowing snow, ice pellets, freezing rain, more snow, cold! That about covers todays weather. It started last night and won't totally end until tomorrow morning. Looks like a good foot of snow before we are through. It sounds like we have reached the ice pellet stage now. I can hear it on the windows. Got a nice fire going and it's a great day to stay inside and enjoy it.
