Good luck with the storm, Brian!

Good morning guys. It wasn't as bad as they predicted IMO although it was a major storm and the wind is still pounding us. There are some major power outages and snow ranged from 25 to 40cm - 10 -16" with heavy drifting. I made it in to work without much trouble. I left early and traffic was light. The schools and Universities are all cancelled for today. And guess what!!  Another storm on Sunday :(  :( . Looks like at least some snow although things are a bit vague at this point. It seems that when we get on the storm track they keep coming til something breaks the pattern.

Morning guys. Things are looking a lot better this morning. The wind finally let up late yesterday so they got the sidewalks cleared last night. Yesterday it was just below freezing with a strong wind but the sun had enough heat to start melting the snow anywhere there was a dark surface. The sun has some real heat in it at this time of year. Looks like maybe we will get all rain on Sunday with maybe some freezing rain at the start. It's supposed to get up to 50F on Saturday so that should melt a good bit of those big snow piles.

Morning guys. It's in the mid 40's here this morning and overcast. It looks like an extended period of freezing rain for us tonight into tomorrow. Well at least we are not getting more snow like they are just north of us. It looks like PEI, where we have a couple of members, will have more snow on top of the 2ft or so they got on Wednesday.

Morning All! Cat, glad to hear you will get some warmer weather, but will you be able to work when the permafrost melts?

It's 44° (7C) here this morning. Looks like we will have a windy 75° (24C) later on. Gusts could reach 40 MPH!

Just saw the funniest thing this morning..  Two red squirrels were in the snow in the back yard burrowed into little holes..  They kept popping up and down just like that 'Whack-a-Mole' game!!  I tried to get a video..  I'll see how it comes out..

Morning guys. We've got freezing rain here. It's right at the freezing point and it's freezing in the trees but not on the ground. Another nice mess, although it's supposed to warm up to 40F as the day goes on and give us 2" of rain overnight.

Brian, I hope the trees don't start breaking! You folks are getting more than your fair share up that way!
