Brian sounds like we are getting the same storm system but we'er not getting that cold of temps. with 16*f ( -8c I think )  for tomorrow . That only thing they said the snow should be light and fluffy , easy plowing and shoveling

3F with 3.5 inches of new light fluffy stuff.   Had just enough fuel in the tractor to blade the drive.  Backed it in the shed on reserve and spittin and sputterin'.   Gonna take the MRS to work and get some fuel - then over to moms to run the snow blower to clear out her drive.   Then come home and go back to bed.

Morning every one. I believe the snow has stopped, but it is hard to tell with the wind and blowing snow. The temperatures are dropping fast and we have seen the high for the day already. This is turning out to be an interesting winter so far, with lots more snow and cold than we had for a number of years.

Morning guys. It was pretty much a record cold day yesterday. After work I filled the wood box and when I came in the house at about 5pm it was -20c -4F. This is severe cold for here. It is causing burst pipes all over the city, in private homes and in commercial buildings, basement parking garages etc. It's snowing as promised but it doesn't look that bad out there now. it's still cold but the wind is not as strong as it's supposed to be later today. Hard to tell how much is down now, maybe 4 inches, but it's drifted. They are calling for another 4 to 8 inches today before it tapers off this evening. It's warming up to -10c 14F today.

Morning Greg & All! Somebody left the freezer door open! It's 17°F (-8C) with a wind chill of 1°F (-17C) this morning. Got blowing snow, doesn't look like enough to worry about. Won't get much warmer. 22°F (-6C) for a high with a 23 MPH North wind. That'll keep the wind chill down there.

Morning guys. A nice morning here today. it's supposed to be sun and +2C which is a big relief from the record cold we have had lately. Statistically the coldest time fo the year is around the first of Feb. here so it was early in the winter to have such bitter cold. Tomorrow you ask? +9c and nearly an inch of rain!!! That ought to produce some ice when it freezes up overnight. I haven't been outside the yard since Thursday. I'm not sure about the condition of the road to the subdivision . Since school is not back from the Christmas break I'm guessing they won't plow it until today, which will leave it a real mess with people driving over it for 2+ days without it being plowed. Perhaps not. Many complaints have been filed with government officials, representatives and the dept of highways. We'll see when I go out tomorrow for work.
