I have a 1950 Eclipse sickle mower. Model number is 1503. It has a 36 inch sickle bar with a 1.5 HP Briggs & Stratton model N engine. I found the Engine manual and parts list on the web. I have no information on the mower itself and anyhelp would be greatly appreciated. It is self propelled and only the left tire is driven. The sickle works but shakes a lot. Had a stuck exhaust valve on the engine but got it freed up, put in a carb kit and conensor. After being used as yard art for the last 50 years it started on the second pull. Thanks for any help on this matter. Is this a rare piece of equiptmen?

Sounds like a great piece, could you snap a pic or two?
I've never heard of that brand, but would also like to learn.

I believe member Bruce Dorsi may be able to help you out with some information. I believe he was an eclipse dealer at one time and may have a manual.

A manual would really help. Willing to pay if necessary.

Thanks again Bruce. My e-mail address is road1949@hotmail.com I really appreciate you taking the time to find it.
These must be pretty rare. I paid $50 and have spent about $30 more to get her going. This is my second garden tractor project. I also have a 1950 Bolens 2 wheel walking tractor. I have downloaded and printed many pages for this machine from GTT and its implements. It came with 5 implements for $125. It needed a mag and head so I spent about $300 more to get her going. Looking to add amotorized reel mower, another 2 wheel walking tractor (steel wheel), an old rotary push mower and a riding mower. I plan on retiring at the end of the so will have more time for thee project. Once again many thanks. Donald

The Eclipse Tornado info has been sent to your e-mail.

Where do you live? .....I have a 1960's-1970's Eclipse reel mower and a much older Eclipse reel mower, as well as a 25" Eclipse Rollaway Reel Mower from the 60's (which could either be a walk-behind or could tow a riding sulky) if you are interested. ....I also have a 2-wheel Bolens & some attachments I want to part with.

I live in Temple Texas about 130 miles south of Dallas. Shipping would be too much for this distance but thanks anyway.

Bruce, Would you happen to have an air shroud assembly for a Wisconsin AA AB ABS ABN? Part # is SE-53-B. This is the only part I am missing on my Bolens B6A5S 2 wheel walking tractor. Thanks for all your time and help with the Eclipse Sickle mower.
