I have a MF7 with mower deck and blade for the front as well as a set of tire chains, MF14 with mower deck, snowblower and tire weights, I also own a MF35 Desiel Tractor, I plan to restore all three although the MF14 and MF35 are in good working and use on a daily bases, the MF7 is in good order just needs some TLC more then anything, hope to take lots of pics and share

Just weeks ago, I was ready for paint on my newly restored MF12 Vari-speed, walked into my local Napa Store and inquired about Factory Massey Colors, they had the listings in the books, mixed the colors and the postings will be in here next week, just as soon as the snow blower is mounted.

These are the paint schemes for MF7 thru MF16. These paint codes are "factory exact" codes.
Massey Ferguson Paint Schemes, Colors, & Codes
All models MF7 thru MF16-Front grille, rims- Silver Mist- code #M1037
All models MF7 thru MF16-Hood, fenders, plastic dash surround frame-
Red/Rouge- code #M1041
MF7 thru MF16- Entire chassis (all but what is listed above), belt
shields, footboards, engine, axles, hubs, fuel tank, dash tower- Flint
Metallic Grey- code #M1025
(Exception to above-MF14 & 16 had footboards painted red/rouge)
Early MF10 & MF12G & MF12H had rim centers painted red, with the outer
rim painted silver mist. At least 69's & up had solid silver mist rims.

All MF7 thru 16 models- decks, deck hangers, & related deck components are
red/rouge M1041

Massey 1200 through 1855: Chassis, fenders, footrest,....basically everything
EXCEPT the grill and wheels are Massey Red, code #M1041. Grill & rims are
"Silver Mist", code #M1037. Engine is a Satin Black.

Close match to the silver mist in spray can is either Plastikote #618 "Steel Wheel" or Dupli-Color Wheel paint #WP101 Silver. Both have the tiny metallic like silver mist.

What I found was Dupli-Color #HWP101 Silver (notice the added H in front). It's a light metallic silver and I'm assuming that's now the color.  Am I correct?

Hey all, new to the board and just want to say great stuff.

I just picked up my first 12 something tells me it won't be my last.

Anyone have the paint scheme and color for the engine? Or is it grey as well?

Hi

Welcome to GTT.

Nice to have another MF fan around.

When you get a chance, post some pictures of your MF12.

We thrive on those. If you need a hand posting the pics, take a look

at the link at the bottom of Kenny's page. Very helpful.

The motors in the MF7, 8, 10, and 12 where painted Flint Metallic Grey.

MF part # 830718M2 for the 12 oz. spray can.

In the MF14 and 16, the Kohler engines where a semi-gloss Black.

Doh! I posted the wrong pic! Have a look at this one....it's pretty clear that the original paint on this one's running boards are red...?

For my restoration i use for:

silver mist:
dupli color zinc primer (14.99$ rattle can)+
dupli color wheel cating silver (11.99$ rattle can)+
dupli color wheel coating clear(11.99$ rattle can)
I used 1/2 primer and 2 for color

Flint grey metalic:
Dupli color zinc primer (14.99$ rattle can)+
Massey ferguson flint grey metalic (14.99$ rattle can)
I used 1 1/2 primer and 3 color

Massey ferguson red:
krilon dual banner red (6.99$ rattle can) +
dupli color wheel coating clear (11.99$ rattle can)
I used 6 red + 3 clear

The dual banner integrate primer and paint

For me its the cheaper way for the quality. i am very satisfated

I'm new here and have been following this topic for a bit.

My son and I have been taking break from snowmobiles this winter and restoring a '68 MF12H. We happen to be working on the engine right now, and our engine block, side cover, head and such are all white. The shrouding and covers are the only Flint Gray on ours. I see some posts saying that the whole engine is gray. Does anyone know if some of these engines were different colors?

Hi. Welcome to GTT.

We'd love to see the work you and your son are doing, so if

you get a chance, please post some pictures. We really like

pictures.

I would think there was a repower done, with an engine from

a different piece of equipment. It should all be Flint Metallic Grey.
