Well just got back from a 400 mile round trip out to just north of DesMoines to pick this gem up, got a decent deal on it too.

Its the Export only HDT1000!!!!!!! It runs like a million bucks but has a few issues that will need to be addressed but all in all it seems like a very sound tractor.

Yeah, it was a hell of a find and even only a couple hundred miles from home. Ended up getting it for 1500, came with a deck, a very lightly used blade and a book if he can find it.

Heres some pics of the mythical creatures, The Unicorn and Centaur

What are the differences between the 20D and the 100D? It looks great with the decals removed.

Is the yellow original for the export teactors?

The hood on the HDT1000 is about 2 inches longer to accomadate the 3cyl diesel and the radiator and what not but everything from the engine back is the same I believe. No Yellow was not the original color, it should have been the same color as the HT20D, The HDT 1000 Has a 3cylinder Mitsubishi liquid coold Diesel whereas the 20D has a Ducati/Teledyne wisconsin air cooled twin cylinder diesel.

Thanks, But this one is goin nowhere, I just gotta wait til the old man kicks the bucket and then they'll be mine.:D Niether of us ever thought in a million years we would ever own either the HT20D or the HDT1000, but there they are in the front yard:bounce:

I wonder how many of these there actually are here in the USA?

Think were gonna have to get ahold of Sam and see if he can make us up some Decals for it. Wasn't your HT20D used for measurement for that set?

Brian, Not sure if this one ever left, I have heard a few of these went out the back door and stayed here. I'd like to know how many though.

Great score on the 'not supposed to be here' tractor. Now you have to restore it.

Actually, it was my HT20D that was used as the source for Sam's decals.

So does anyone have any pics of what one of these is suposed to look like? I sent Sam an email about decals so we'll see what happens there.

Has anyone else seen one of these in person before?

The PO still has to send the front hubcaps and the book when he finds that stuff.
