How many coats do you plan on putting on? Is the paint from a spray can?

Looks pretty good there Brian, you can get good results with spray can paint.
This tractor was all painted with spray cans.

Thanks Doug. I put a lot of time into the prep and it payed off. It all came down to that 15 minutes or so to spray it. I was very happy with it. I think the good primer coat seemed to help it go on smooth. It was a real mess when I started, grinder marks and brush marks etc.

Yes this was from a spray can. I put 3 coats on it- almost 3 cans of paint. I had a perfect day to do it, warm, still and not too humid.

Thanks guys. It was the first major GT paint job for me. I'm happy with the results given that rattle cans were used. Prep is the most important part. Don't scrimp on primer is one thing I learned. Gotta get better painting equipment for future projects!

Yep! I have an MF8 to get finished up then I'll be looking for another project. I am open to just about any brand so who knows what I'll end up with.

I'm a green fan, but I love that fact that I can check out other brands in this website.

I am most familiar with JD's so I jumped on the 314 when it came up for sale near me. I think there are a lot of nice tractors out there that I would consider. One bonus with JD's is that many parts are still available new for them and I have a good dealer nearby. It's not so rosy with some other brands.
