Doug, nice tractor. On the exhaust elbow, what is the spec # for the engine? Have to have that to look up parts. Maybe e-bay for used, Parts Tree for new. Others may know of some where it can be found.

The MF16 has a Kolher K341, the the exhaust fitting that screws into the block, 45deg. elbow, is cracked.
Anybody know where I can get one?

Parts tree.com shows it for $50 ouch.
Kohler at $37
Search Results : Kohler Engines and Kohler Engine Parts Store, Genuine Kohler Engine Parts

If that's the right one.

I've seen them on ebay

Doug
Just had a memory recall, and went to the shed.
Is this the one?
I'll get it off tomorrow if it is. (can't today as you know)
Major internal issue in that motor, and by the time I get around
to fixing it, I'll have forgot it ever had an elbow. Might as well be
put to good use.

That looks like it, here's a picture of mine.
MF16 001.jpg

Comparing the 2 yours looks like iron pipe fittings, 45deg, + short piece of pipe, that would work.

Can you just use standard 1" cast pipe fittings for those or is it something special?

I tried to get that elbow off today, with no luck. I never took the torch to it, but,
it's as you and Brian said, pipe fittings.
Also, it doesn't have that return bend to the right side of the motor.
Sorry Doug.

No problem, looks like the factory part is a 90 and a 45 put together, probably for clearance issues.
I might try welding the one I got, this tractor had the engine changed at one time with a new replacement, might be able to get the fitting off.
Your engine in the picture, is it any good, if not want to sell me the carb and air cleaner assembly?
