get a call from a friend about one of these asking if they are a good tractor. i says yeah they are, depending on the price. he says the person wants a $100 for it and it aint a pretty piece of equipment, and boy he wasn't kidding. i said it was worth that for parts if the engine is good.
long story short: wifey took one look and said no:laughingteeth: i said YOUR WHIPPED:bounce: and decided to pick it up after my buddy decided to listen to said wifey.
good kohler, good hydro pump and tranny. wiring is a TOTAL mess, a disaster, really. the mower deck is missing some parts and is rotted beyond repair, but i'm not going to get this one up and running. it's a parts machine.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, 'cause I actually rather like it. Looks to be in really good shape to me. The wiring being a mess isn't that big of a deal if you have a manual and can re-do it. Don't be so hard on the old girl, she'll still put in a full days work I'll bet LOL.

:Dthe pics really don't do it justice:D cracks in the frame, cracks in the body tins.....rust, rust, rust. plus that fine paintjob that somebody brushed on thar:bigrofl:
she's retired from work now, to much work to be worthwhile to get it going. she's a basketcase if there ever was one. but good engine, hydro and tranny for spares when i get my hands on a good one of these.

If I was closer, I'd give you your money back in a heartbeat. These are tough tractors.

$100 is a bargain basement price, and it doesn't look bad at all, even if a pic flatters.

If you think it looks bad, here's what mine looked like when I got it.
