Will let me within about 2 ft of him, then he is on the move.  Comes in the shop when I am working and starts crowing.  Have never seen spurs on any rooster like these.  He would not stand still long enough for a good pic so the first one is fuzzy but got a good view of his right spur.  Left one is about 1.5" shorter.  He is about 7 or 8 years old now.

Had a rooster once that would follow me around like a dog. Didn't like other people.
Then one day he didn't think much of me either!

If that sucker came up behind me and started crowing, I'd be having chicken noodle soup for supper!

The crowing isn't what you got to worry about!

I don't slurp sloup Kenny.  He believes in the early to bed, early to rise theory.  He don't have a mean bone in him and you can hear him clucking away as he comes in the shop.

Fried chicken is my fav but this guy is bit to old for that.  I'll stick to Popeye's or Pizza Ranch.  KFC runs a close third.

One of my roosters had spurs so long he had trouble walking, kept tripping himself. I caught him one night when he was up on the roost in the hen pen and trimmed them back with my rose pruners, left them about an inch long. Worked like a charm, but they are growing back out again.

Got to keep this guy around.  He is up here by the house this morning crowing away.  Even with that long spur he can run fairly good, enough to get away fro the calf and most times the dog if they decide to chase him.  Don't bother his flying upon the gate one bit.  Kind of a novelty around here.

Never had a pet chicken but had a lot of fried chicken and dumplings. Now a days I get my chicken from Lee's, KFC don't have livers.

The first day I met my son's girlfriend ( now wife ) we were at a tractor show , Jacktown , don't remember how we got on the subject but she pointed to a scar on her upper cheek , said she was little when a rooster got her , her grandmother then took care of the rooster for good lol

Yea I had one that was fine as long as you were facing him. Turn your back and he'd be on you.

After a while that gets old....I won !!!!!
