Spent the afternoon freeing up and cleaning and old eska boat motor.

The piston was frozen in the cylinder, took some effort and wd40 to make it spin free again, guess it was sitting for along time, clean carb -replace carb with one off of a Tecumseh 5 hp go-kart motor and pull the rope -----------------------it started up !!!!!!!
took me by surprise when it fired up was not expecting that on the 1st pull

Haven't seen one of those in about 20 years. What's it run? 24:1 mixture?

The other one I have says 24:1 but have always run 50:1 in it had it for about 2 years got it in much of the same way from my brother he left it outside with no spark plug in it and the piston was frozen in it also, Very lucky on both that they run now , the cool part was the go kart carb bolted right up easier to get parts for that carb then the stock one
