Selling a 1978 JD 208 for my pop. The tractor is in very good shape. New plug,
air filter and oil change . It has a updated 38 inch deck with it that is also in very good shape.
Original tires. The only bad spot is the seat that had yellow duct tape put on it at some point
We were hoping to get $625 for it but are open to fair offers.
Cash and carry will not part out.
Please pm me and we can talk if your interested. He has two other 208 in his collection
and needs more space which is the only reason for the sale . Thanks for looking.

Yup the previous owner installed that. Pop got it running and cleaned her up.
The 8 hp does get lost in there, one of the ones pop has saved is a 208 with
an 16 horse Kohler motor from another unit and it looks awesome in it.
People have asked many times about it when he has had it at local shows.
It's his hot rod and he won't part with it. I'll try to get a pic of it one of these days.

So he has a 216 in 208 clothes, bet it scoots pretty good. I have a 216 and a 78 316 and the K341's in both really make the tractor shake when I have them idled down. Put one in my uncles 140 and it blows snow like a beast.

Essentially yes that's what it is. Just looks cool with no hood sides
and all you see is engine hanging out of it.
Great engines treat them right they'll last forever.
At one of the shows we were driving around he on that me on the 74 112
and boys being boys he dusted me and had a big grin on his face afterword.
Great memory even though I lost.
