Gtractor, that's using the old noggin! Great way to lift your tractor.
Lots of good ways to lift listed here. If I get the 'new' item I am hoping to, I'll have something to add here.

I like to use a chain fall hanging from a sturdy tree limb to lift mine, but i have been known to grab onto the front end, pick them up and stand them right up lol. Then again I dont have anything that weighs more than a couple hundred pounds.

I find it easiest to remove the mower deck and give it a good cleaning while off. And then I can sharpen the blades.

I'm also a chain hoist guy. The only fault I have with it is that I didn't think of it 30 years ago. Just looked up one day about three years ago and thought that the 15' of overhead was sure going to waist so up went the I-beam and hoist and I've been happy ever since.
