How is the cut on the 50 inch decks for the MTD Wizard?  Does it cut nicely.  Is the deck oversized for the 16hp?

I use mine to cut the back yard/field and it can bog down in heavy grass. As long as the blades are sharp, the engine will stay at top revs at average travel speed. Without anti scalp wheels, it does damage to uneven areas and the slide bars on each side sometimes dig in during a turn. The striping roller is next to useless because it bends easily and stops rolling.

To get a better cut, I removed the roller and put 5" caster wheels on the adjustable height brackets.

Hey! Maybe I should do that to mine???  I just posted on missing adjusters, now seeing this. Hmmmm!  Have any closer shots or when making them that I can see better on how mounted??  Might have to change my process!

Closeups of the welded on bracket and wheel. I had access to free 5" caster wheels and bolts. 6" X 2" would be even better I think. You can see the bottom of the bracket is dragging. Check for clearance with the deck and tractor tires when making this mod. My chains come close when traveling with the deck raised. Make sure the wheel does not rub on the deck at all adjustment heights.

I have an extra set of wheels when these wear out.

Cool!  Thanks for the great pictures!  This looks like much quicker route than the rollers building.
