And from what I can tell, these engines were green? Also this engine has a hand crank to start it.

Yes, the engines were green and had a crank.

Tried to take some pics of mine last night but couldn't get to it very easy. These first pics are of the original carb and mag. What do you have where the normal mag drive is?

These next pics are of the area where your mag drive is. I tried to just hold the camera out and shoot. I couldn't get to that side to look. I'm fairly sure there isn't even a shaft coming out there.

Mine seems to have a few differences. Look at the pictures I posted earlier and you can see the drive for the mag. I’m not sure what is driving the gear. And also I think mine has a fuel pump I think, near the carb.

I saw the gear but I've never seen one that drove there. The carb is a Briggs flo-jet on yours and it isn't right. The FM-J mag on yours is newer than the engine. What does your engine look like on the side my mag is on?

Hard to say what's went on with that engine. looks to me like someone found an engine missing a bunch of stuff and just set out to make it run.
