it is the articulated unit but the name on it was stiga park, not bolens but it has got to be rebadged bolens, maybe the canadian version.gave him $50 to hold till weekend and another $150 when i pick it up . 1 extra briggs and stratton , and 1 extra subaru robin with a oil filter, must be pressurized oil, 12.5 hp i think it was .the honda motor on the ford is nearly new and looks it .all motors spin freely ,nothing feels funny.hope i can locate deck for the bolens/stiga. will have to dig through all the goat poopage to find itgt 002.jpg

Neat pieces! Did you say the deck is buried under Goat Poop? Manure is or can be pretty rough on steel... Here's hoping it survived.

Sounds to me like you need to spend the day there with old clothes and a pitch fork. Hopefully it leaning in a corner. If not, definitely stop and talk to the neighbor... He may know of one, or at least let you take some pics and measurements to retrofit another deck and/or know what your looking for at the Flea Markets.

Good Luck!

I used to have a Stiga like that, a good mulching mower, the deck has 3 blades, i once hit a root and it knocked the middle blade out of sync which clattered off the other two creating quite a bit of damage, i think i still have the manual will check tomorrow and scan it if you need it.

very much apreciated sam, if you have the manual that might take care of a serious dilema . appears rare to find someone in north america that even knows of their existence .
