My YT automatic is sitting in free wheel. I manually lifted one side to do a rear wheel tire change ( while it was in free wheel) and now that’s where it is. No problems beforehand.
Model 917.254350 I think it’s a1988. Anyone have an idea? It’s stumping me and the local fellas. Haven’t taken it to a shop yet.

Did you reinstall the axle key? It goes in the slot on the axle. Without it the tractor will not move.

Oh yes sir, can’t find anything out of place. I notice a bubble or two in the fluid reservoir when I push the engage pin in and release. Not sure but thought that may be normal?

Welcome to GTT. We may have the manual for that in our Manuals Section(3 free downloads per day). The few of those hydros that I played with, had a spring in the freewheel lingage. Is it still intact? Good Luck, Rick

Thank you! I figured out if I swallowed my pride and triple checked things the key slipped right out the back!
