Was overcast this morning & temp started at 70 and ended at 77F, so MUCH easier on the body today! I did have to wring out my bandana 3 times of sweat still though. Lower temps & clouds really good for the concrete too, as it will slow down the cure. Actually sprinkled tiny drops for a few minutes. No real rain expected.

Well, I thought I was done till milking, but reading the sealer, it's best applied as soon as the concrete will bear a person's weight. Spread 5 gallons & see I'll need a 4th bucket. My wife went to town, so gave her a call & she'll pick it up. I'll be going till milking time, but tomorrow I am OFF duty!
Well, the pit isn't completely done, but darn near it. It will be a busy time, what with filling with silage AND finishing the backfill, but the brunt of it is over, and it IS a GREAT feeling!

I feel like I've been whipped by a big mean old bear, but the sealer is on, all but the bucket Teresa is picking up. I'll put it on Monday morning. Man will it feel good walking out of the milk parlor this evening, knowing I have tomorrow to rest. Well........ sleep in an hour or so, then play with tractors! :-)

Hooray! Glad to hear that the concrete is in. Get some good rest tonight and morning. Then it's play time. Sounds like you had some good weather for it, to boot. Bet that takes a load off.

Actually, just before lunch time, I plan to go to Munfordville to get a tube for the flat rear Allis 720 tire, then head to the Chinese Buffet there. Their food (CATS & RATS) is the best! LOL BTW....the humidity & heat returned this afternoon, but still not quite as bad as recent days.

Just don't eat so much you can't put that tube in the 720.
