I know it's happening to more than me, but man in the last several days, I'm getting literally hammered with fake emails supposedly from UPS, DHL, and FedEx. Most all of them are caught by my server's mail filter, and the ones making it through are SO easy top tell as spoof, but it's getting mighty annoying. Over 40 virus containing today alone! Then several more that link you to a virus if you click their links. I juust heard on the news that a certain group of hackers were disbanding, but there's still plenty of people out there just to stir problems for us all. I just can't understand what joy they get from this crap. Misery loves company I guess. I wish they'd get happy!:mad2:

It is also one of the reasons to keep your email addresses completely private by only giving it to those you know and not in any public format ie; like a forum. Bots scoop that stuff out easy as can be. Just like yahoo groups, if the group allows guest viewing, then all the email address on that group are accessible by bots.

Our company has been getting the UPS emails for a couple of months now. Luckily our spam filter has been catching them.

Over 50 "shipping" viruses per day caught by my server filters yesterday. Only 18 so far today.

Had something wierd, yesterday afternoon. Went to the link for LAGC site and clicked on articles. It was taking a while to load when I got a Blue screen. Didn't read all it said, just reached down and held the off button till it shut down. Waited a while, restarted and ran scans. Found nothing. Don't know what it was.

I got one today, now it may be the real thing,I don't know. I got an email from Youtube a little while ago saying that ....I won't say the name of the person, but it was the name of one of our members here, wanting me to become a "Youtube Friend".
Now like I said, this may be real, but I have not heard of it.
If it is real, then I apologize for posting this, but this email asked me to click on a link if I wanted to accept this, and I would have had to give my password. Now I would do this if I knew whether it was real ,but not knowing,I didn't.
I hope if it is genuine, that the member here doesn't mind me posting this.
You can't be too careful these days.
