I don't know much about the Allis tractors, but it looks like a good sturdy tractor to me! Best of luck with it and post up lots of pics when you get it home!

well got it home a day early. I was surprised when i got to the guys house, He had the original owners manual for the tractor and the deck. Even got the original bill of sales for the machine and all the recits from when he took it in for tune ups and repairs. Its a pretty clean machine and runs great. Only bad thing was on the way home our tilt trailer broke.. We had to strap the trailer down to the tounge and drive real carefull all the way home. Pretty interesting trip I must say.

These later Simplicity/Alice tractors are much easier to work on .... hood flips ahead and frame is longer ... easy to remove an engine.

I had to take an engine out of a Big 10 to change coils

That is a nice machine. I used to work in Grinnel, Ia and the parks department had a whole fleet of AC Gt's.
They claimed the Deep deck made for the only machine they could mow wet grass from morning dew in the mornings without plugging and dropping bunches. Their parks always looked good and I would see them mowing at 6:30 am in the morning on my way to work, so I believe it

Nice machine. I'm curious, what was the purchase price on the original bill of sale?
