The little guys got a heck of a drivetrain. That would be a good project. Good luck!

Welcome to GTT. That is a MEGA KOOL little machine. There may be some info on it in our Manuals Section(3 free downloads per day). Tell us the history of your machine while I look for info on it for you. Good Luck, Rick

I found an owners manual: http://gardentractor...ruction-manual/

and a sales brochure: http://gardentractor...sales-brochure/

We try to help, we are all in this together. If that tractor has been handed down through your family it is known as a "Heritage" tractor. Those are rare and if you have one, keep it.

I have owned this tractor scene 1978 it runs like new has a worm gear drive rear end. No brakes you push the clutch in and it stops. If you're in third and going fast the back tires leave skid marks

You've had it for 40 years, wow. It is a neat little machine. I found this :   http://gardentractor...es-early-1950s/    and this   http://gardentractor...facturing-1931/   . These and the two above seem to be the only files that we have on the Shaws. Good Luck, Rick

I looked at the manual and ran the serial number of the Wisconsin engine its a 1959. I see you could put a snowplow on it. It has a pedal on the right side that looks like a brake pedal but what it does is lock up the rear axle. Good for plowing snow. I never thought you could plow with it. The plow was 33 inches wide .Wow. I don't think it would work good in a Michigan winter as we got over 90 inches of snow total this year. I sold it to a friend 25 years ago but he returned immediately as he found a real lawn mower so I put it in a shed and forgot about it. I also forgot he returned it.The shed is 40 miles away from where I live now. 5 years ago I told my wife I wish I still had the Shaw she said you do it's still in the back of the shed!I raced down to springlake and brought it home. The mice did not do any damage because it has no plastic. The front tires were rotted but the really thick tubes were good as new. I replaced the tires and took it to a tractor show in Shelby. I was swarmed people loved it. Now I have a JD H and a duel fuel A and a 68 jeepster commando I spend all my spare time on restoring them. So I want to make room and get my small tractors a good home. I am looking for a another jeepster to restore. Where is a good spot to advertise my tractors? I might take it to another show this summer if I still have it.

Hey I am still here. Sorry I didn't answer all the texts I have been swamped. I am new to forums but but I Will learn. I retired Friday from full time work my home computer don't work and this hard for me to do on my phone. The first person who made a offer got the Shaw. I traded for a 3wheeler. I was not looking to get rich just find a good home for it. But I also have a very old orchard sprayer. My dad restored it in the early 1970s. It has been sitting outside for a while. The first person who wants it can have it for free. Just let me know when you want to pick it up. The motor is frozen.I also have a 1965 Cub 100 with a12hp 1968 low serial number Koehler. All restored 8 years ago. I will take trades for this also. It's best to just call me or send personal message. This a great site I will spend more time on it when I get a new computer. Thanks for your help. Like I said the orchard sprayer is FREE. 2315781522
