 my jim dandy tractor kohler engine over heats. dont think machine shop ever got the crank and rod matched up well. rod showing signs of wear on side of journal. will be going back to shop soon. as a alterative  was thinking of puting in a old briggs 16 hp. i have sitting around. bell housing bolt holes look the same. would need the 1inch to 1-1\8 sleve for pully\clutch mount. seen them on line. my qustion is about the hub and pto on front to run my mower. anybody have a parts source for the briggs to work . i havnt seen them on line. thanks bill

just wondering if someone knows of the briggs parts  availabilty for the flwheel hub and  electric pto. bill

Hi Bill as you posted you could use an adapter sleeve for the flywheel and that would work just fine I've used them on my Sears Suburbans, as for the CS extension  PTO  shaft this will be harder to find as that engine was used but not that many you could try contacting a fellow member here goes by username he sell lots of PK parts he also sell on e bay under 2002jrhaines2, in fact you could contact any of the e bay sellers and ask if they have anything. I'm thinking that the PTO clutch is the same you would just need the adapter shaft

 im not sure either my fan bolted to the flywheel has 2 threaded holes 2-1\2 o.c. i will ask the ebay guy for maesurements

i did find the stub shaft on ebay. just screws on the flywheel threads. my briggs engine swap is going good. all bolted in place. still need to fit the grill and hood suport. think im going to have to cut off steel suport from dash to front grill area .the carbs in the way. andbody out there have a pk 1616 with a pic with hood open ? would like to see how they came from factory.thanks bill
