yea the wood is a good idea. my battery doesnt seem to move but you never know
Ever since I had that "battery incident" with my 850 a few years ago I always make sure the battery will never move forward LOL

I may put a small lip on the battery tray to keep that from happening. not original but wouldn't bee seen either. these original brackets seem to hold the battery really well.Ever since I had that "battery incident" with my 850 a few years ago I always make sure the battery will never move forward LOL

I agree the brackets work great when the proper battery like the one you got is installed. I've been using some smaller battery's on some of my other Bolens and thats why I had to fab up those homemade brackets..
