I had to pull the motor on my original 1220. so after getting the motor off I decided I was going to get it looking a little better. so she is going to get a fresh coat of paint. Tomorrow when the post office opens the drive shaft is getting sent out for a rebuild. I am not sure about new decals yet, the old ones are not too bad. here are a few pictures.

the pictures are not in order the whole tractor is before i took it apart

The decals are in very good shape. I would probably leave them be also. Are you going to also paint the frame or just clean it up?

Thanks, Yes I will be painting the frame also. I should have probably waited to paint the hood as I don''t have the new motor yet and I don't know exactly how its going to fit, If the hood needs to be modified I am not going to use the hood in the pics I have another hood I will use. It is probably receiving a 12 hp Brigs a guy near me has 2 on Craigslist I just need to check shaft size and see what direction they turn I am hoping they are correct.

Well the tractor is coming along well but I went to look at the motor I was hoping to transplant into it. And it wont work some people need to learn the difference between horizontal and vertical:wallbanging: Oh well it was a nice two hour road trip (one hour each way) guess ill take a look at the old motor. maybe I can get it going again gave up mostly out of frustration.

Looks like you are doing very well. I'll be interested in your engine progress. My 1220 engine is refusing to start.
