Seen it on CL. Didn't really need it but got it just because they're kinda of hard to find anymore. Have a St10 and a Roper RT10 with the same motors so if anything else I'll some spare parts. Guy ran it for me so I know it runs good.

I agree with you. When a good opportunity presents itself you should build up some stock of spare parts. If you are not going to use it, put a little Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas. Run it until it is out of gas, change the oil, and put it some place dry. Some moth crystals to keep mice away is a good idea too.

I picked one up last summer but it doesn't run(yet). Good Luck, Rick

Great find, lots of these are going to the scrap yards simply from the lack of basic small engine knowledge

Good save

Yea I didn't want to just part it out. It is in very good shape. Ignitions good, starter, carb is good. It's all there. Missing air cleaner. Paid 175 for it. Didn't steal it but it was worth it to me. Might keep my eye open for something to put it on now!

I remember Northern Tool had these back when they were going out of production. New they were selling for between 500-600 dollars then and often thought I should've picked one then. The RT10 Roper I've had for at least 42 years and the Sears close to 30. So I doubt I'll be getting rid of anything soon..

The HH100/HH120 was still offered through Tecumseh until the early 2000's if I'm not mistaken

wish I would have bought them when I could !

Chinese motors are nothing compared to the cast irons

What makes it a litte tough is there isn't many motors that will fit in place of the HH100 in the small frame Sears tractors.

I think that goes for all tractors they were all designed around a specific motor with no intentions of anything else, you either shortblocked or new replacement motor back then, today everyone seems to be obsessed with chopping stuff up for chinese motors

Yup, that's why I pick up cast iron Kohlers when I get the chance.

Hey dodge, maybe people part out good running engines (for no good reason) because they do not need them, maybe no one wants to pay shipping on a complete motor or maybe people who part them out for no good reason figures someone else might be able to use the parts.
