I found a complete century fox lift setup on and older Jacobsen bit I want to put it on my 1970 Jacobsen that I use. My problem is the shaft size is smaller on my 1970 then the older jacobsen. I realize these parts are hard to come by but does anyone have one of these nuts or know of a way to make this work like a Helicoil. Thanks in advance

Hi, nice find, but I don’t know anything about this model.

The k181 and k301 use the same crank bolt. The k241 has a larger nut like you found out. We have done 2 things. One is a helicoil the second was I went to Ace hardware and picked up one of those bolts that you put althread in and can tighten and loosen. We turned down a bolt and keyed it to take the pulley.

Sounds like you have a k241 crank pulley. I tried to trade mine for a k301 and no one had one. Best to modify.

find a good machine shop and let them make the part correct than you don`t have to worry about the flywheel coming loose.

It may cost more than a helicoil but it will be right since you use the tractor. You have the part, you just need different threads the machine shop doesn`t need to reinvent the wheel to make it.
