Ok, I now believe it’s a 1053 by the gearstick? Any thoughts,?
Also any opinions on the clutch

Also figured out that the pad of some sort, closest to the steering wheel, is practically not there

Hi Sam,

 

Thats interested that its got that engine in. Last year a local lad brought a 1556 which had the same engine bodged in. He removed the engine & I had the chassis. Its now owned by Dave from Stoke

 

Amazes me the lenghts people will go to to keep these old bolens going :thumbs: . Why do so many end up in a horrid state in the UK?

 

You will have some fun with that though

Hi Sam, welcome to GTT and great to hear of an Irish Bolens. There are a few lads in Northern Ireland that got Bolens who may have some spares. Very handy that your Grandad can help you out.

Yeh I know, tell me about it. Bit here in Northern Ireland I have only ever seen 1 other bolens. A 1000 I believe
