I have two 16’s and only one had the factory muffler still on it, when I took off the muffler I realized that the guts were all broke loose inside. A buddy of mine also has a 16 without the original muffler, So we decided to cut open the one I had and use it to fabricate some new ones. So here’s what we ended up with. We’ve built a couple so far and are pretty happy with them. So I figured I ask if there would be any interest from anyone here for one. We’re set up to make some more. They are stainless steel. We only used scotch bright to put a finish on them. I think they look pretty good as is, figured no sense of “polishing” them since most of the muffler is hidden unlike the deluxe muffler’s on the 12’s. We also made the bracket’s that the muffler bolts to. I’m thinking of $175 for one and would include the muffler, clamp and bracket. We do have some time and money in them but want to be fair. I figured I’d ask here before posting in the for sale section. If nothing else let me know what you guys think. Thanks

Looks great. If I was doing a restoration now I’d buy one no question, but when I did mine 7 years ago I managed to find a muffler direct from Kohler that was almost identical to the stock unit.

very nice work!  what kind of tig welder are you using?  I have a Dynasty at work but I'm shopping for a more afordable one for my shop at home and have been looking at the Lincoln square wave 200.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. The TIG is my friends machine and it’s a Miller Dynasty 200. Way out of my price range! The welding credit goes to Kbuzz on here, he’s the man under the welding hood. I’m going to post in the for sale section, we made an extra one and can do a couple more if needed. I know we’re making them for one of the rarest model Massey’s out there so the demand might not be that much. But at least now there’s an option.
