Hello all. Starting to make some good progress on getting the tractor cleaned up and looking good. I originally didn't intend to go to this much effort. My first plan just involved fixing some wires and cleaning up some rust but it just snowballed on me and next thing I knew it was strewn across the floor every part being touched up.

When I first got it the only paint that had burnt off the muffler was about two inches up from the end that attaches to the exhaust elbow so most of what I see from the outside should be ok. Plus I originally painted the muffler and exhaust with high temp ceramic paint so even if some of the blue burns off I'll still have the silver.

Good project and looking better.  A painted muffler don't make them run a bit better.  Just stink more when first warmed up good.

True but the ocd in me won't let me leave it unpainted while I'm painting everything else.

Just an update. Got some more work done on her. The main items left are the grill and the top bracket for the grill and hood. The top bracket had quite a few cracks where the hood brackets bolt on so I've got someone welding it up. I've found a grill in eBay in really nice shape so hopefully I can win it and get the front end looking good. Also if anyone knows of a seat for sale or a new seat that looks similar let me know, I'm not really a fan of the big seat that came with it.

Right now it will mostly be for fun but at some point I wouldn't mind getting a deck. I already have a good mower though so the deck isn't really the most important thing. Most likely Ill build a hitch for it and maybe set it up for a snow plow or snow blower. Maybe Ill even take it to the fair and put it in with the other old tractors or try my hand at pulling with it. So many options.

Won the grill!!! Once I get it and the upper grill bracket back from welding I can get it back together. Then all that's left is a new seat and a label kit.

Would anyone know if there is someone that reproduces serial number and data tags for the tractor and engine? I wouldn't mind replacing them if possible

For the engine, check this listing out. And this guy has tractor decals.
