Thanks Austen and Iain. It was a pleasant surprise to win the competition and thanks to all those who voted for me.

The 600 is actually on another road trip to my mate Chris who is in Sussex who is going to replace the Head gasket and muffler plus a few other things too.

Dave, aka Old Buzzard, took some typical American scenes at my behest of the Bolens so I plan to take some photos of it in Sussex against old buildings and whatever is quintessentially English.

Thanks chieffan and fonz3482. Off on another trip tomorrow of 250 miles to see Chris who is going to weld his magic on my 600 and 1050. The van is absolutely wedged with the two Bolens in the back of the van....

Guess the fuel consumption will make interesting reading tomorrow.....

Well done

Expect you want me to polish the thing after we have fixed it with the parts which have not turned up :wallbanging:  UK postal service is rubbish!

That's a thought Chris. Might as well do something constructive while waiting for the parts. I will get my Autoglym polish out and put it in the van.... :-)

Congratulations on the win Andrew.

I really want to get our 600 running after having a quick drive on your 600 last year

Well I now have this winning 600 in my garage awaiting its new exhaust & head gasket

Wonder if Andrew will notice if I swapped it with mine :D
