Many of us older members probably started this internet thing on bulletin boards and internet groups etc almost 20 years ago now. Yahoo Groups was such a set of groups, MSN and others used to do it too. There are still a number of Yahoo Groups still getting action. I run one for National Mowers, but its pretty much died off. There is also a Ford-Jacobsen tractor one thats still quite busy.
Anyways, Yahoo has stopped supporting and doing maintenance on their groups. Joe, the owner of the F-J group has moved the group to another provider. For those of you that may have been in the old Yahoo group or if you would like to see the new one, here is a link.... https://groups.io/g/...dGardenTractors

I do find the forum format better personally, but they do make for some interesting reading. Before the forums, that was pretty much all we had.

I'm on several of Joe's groups. The new ones work pretty smooth. Traffic on them have picked up at least for the time being.

I been online so long I remember when they were "Yahoo Clubs"

They were fantastic!!!

Then some fresh-outta-college brain-E-ack was hired to "improve" the clubs and changed them to "groups" and started the long downhill spiral to extinction.

If they'd just leave stuff alone.......

That's right....I had forgotten that they were called clubs first.

I agree with G tractor.  Always have a bunch of new educated idiots that think they can improve the world and all they do is mess everything up.  Not only to user groups but web sites also.  I have a couple that I used to get one about once a week but they kept changing  and all of sudden could not log on.  There is a CC group that really is screwed up in my opinion,  which ain't worth much but to me.  The new Bolens and related groups are working real good.  Fast, easy to navigate and move around in.  Thanks much Joe.

I'm apart of a couple, including the National one you mentioned which was sort of the "go to" source for information online for those machines as I remember. The Power King/Economy group is a pretty active one, even to this day. While very basic in their design, I never got used to the layout and found them cumbersome to navigate. I much prefer a regular forum in terms of navigation and overall usability.

I never had any luck navigating the Yahoo group forum. Maybe it was me, maybe not.

I too don't even remember my password and how to get into any of the Yahoo stuff.

This forum and a couple others like it that I frequent are so much easier to navigate and search.

Gilson group seems to be gone. Good thing I snatched most of the manuals they had and uploaded them here or they would be gone. If anyone happens to run across any manuals on there be sure to grab them and upload them here just in case those groups shut down.
