Payed 40 bucks for this poor Simplicity at the junkyard. I wasn't looking for another tractor at the time, but I couldn't just leave it there. I came back two weeks later to dig it out of the cabbage. It had stuck 7 hp Briggs with no carb, no voltage regulator, no starter generator, and no hood. Other than that, it was in very good condition. It also had head lights, tail lights, wheel weights, and 2 ac delco horns. I put a 1972 8hp Briggs on it to stay period correct, but still have a more modern charging system and starter.

Welcome to GTT. Check out our Manuals Section(3 for free per day). I have one of those. Be sure to keep the pivot bolt well lubricated(it lets the front of the tractor twist independant of the rear). They are notorious for siezing up and are a major project to free up. Good Luck, Rick

It thankfully is free and rotates very smoothly. I will try to keep it lubricated.
