Hi Folks,

What is the plastic disc that connects the drive shaft to the motor called? Are they available anymore?

Is the coil on the Briggs 300421 ( I think ) under the shroud? Looks like you would have to pull the motor to get the shroud off.

It's called a fiber disc. And yes they should be. Zippo on you tube has a good video about a magnetron replacement coil and that's how I would go. No more points. And yes you need to pull the motor

A Simplicity dealer will have the disc.

Thanks all. I don't need the fiber disc yet. Just thought it might be a good idea to have a spare hanging around.
