2 questions
1: what tractors was this built for? My daughter has a 68 Commando 8 with a slot hitch.

2: roughly what year? ( is the 96 in your post a model designation or ?)

EDIT: 2 yrs later another turned up very similar in THIS thread.

So did your daughter end up using the plow in the Commando 8?

And did you figure out what the odd bar was?

Or do you reckon seeing mine that this was some sort of PO add-on?

Follow up,

We did end up finding an 8" Brinly Built WH  Plow for KK thanks to member Kyocum.  We have gone to a lot of plow days with it and her trusty horse. :D

 

This plow found a new home in the WH collection of another member.  There was little doubt that it was a WH plow at the time and honestly, probably is (from the pictorials in the manual, it's a dead ringer)

 

As for the bar... I think it was a PO retro-fit add-on for using it behind Something like an Allis/Simplicity/Cub with the pipe lift above the hitch.
