Found this over the weekend. Pretty rough, but always wanted a foot operated model, plus it has cool front fenders. Where do I search to find out production numbers on the I5’s?
Had a rear lift and tiller as well. All will need a lot of attention.abaa90743c6a93bd05d84847b7a1ba2b.jpgb6d51cd3ef0d3ef9f7ae82b5c5a6bf77.jpg4f9bb19a9f08b58f57662904de6ebdc7.jpg

I have not figured the history of this manual, but looks to be their prototype before the official ones were printed. Any one seen one of these before?

Good job hunting.  I like the short wheel base.  Should be a dream to turn around.

That manual is interesting.  GE made an I-2 before the I-5, but they are few and far between.  I've seen a couple tractors that have had the I-5 sticker over the I-2 sticker where GE reused some parts when they switched to the I-5.  I don't think both models were available at the same time.  You would think GE would have had the manual figured out by the time the I-5 went in production.??

FYI...The front fenders are modified rear fenders, turned 180°.

Someone has put the turf wheels/tires on that machine.  It should have come with the industrial wheels/tires.  My I-5 is the same way...turfs.

Congrats on the find!

Glad you found that.   I missed out on an I-5 with the fork lift a couple years ago.    Haven't seen one since.

You have got a rear lift. tiller, and mower deck.         Hope you have good luck with it.    Rick

Interesting part on the manual, it’s a poor copy of the pictures- almost a copy of a copy

Does it have a Cruise control switch and a fast/slow switch or just a cruise control button?

I did a Google search and this is what they looked like when new, I think the seat has being changed in the picture.

The dash picture shows Cruise control and Forward Reverse switch, no Fast Slow switch so I think you have the early 8 motor speed control as apposed to the later 7 motor speed control.

Must have the double toaster in it.
