I found a 1963 Speedex this morning on GL. and it does not say the modle but said that the metal is in good shape, has original motor that does not run but turns free, he is asking $750.00. I emailed him and asked for the modle and pictures. What do you Guys think.

The price may vary regionally. If not restored or in good original condition that is awful high. Is there implements?

There are lots of them for sale around here and generally I can say that price is high .... dead engine ???? if you are lucky it's just a coil.

Yes, without pics hard to say, but with what you've said, I'd say quite a bit high.

Speedex has very little following. If its not complete you wont find the parts. I would do $250-400 but Northern CA is a diff story as you know LOL

It's hard to tell without pictures, model, running condition and attachments. Several years ago I bought a 1965 S-24 Speedex in original running condition, rusty but complete sheet metal and the following attachments, one bottom garden plow, 2 sets of rear wheel weights, side mount sickle mower, front dirt blade and a front mount mower deck. I gave $1000.00 for it which may have been a bit much but it was all complete and working. The S-24 was the big tractor that they sold at that time. They made several smaller models.

Here are a couple around here to put pricing into perspective from somewhere else:

Speedex Model 1630 16hp Briggs

Speedex S17...1969

and this one is really pretty: TRACTOR
