-15 F here this morning. Never got over 7 F all day. Just to darn cold for me. Stay warm stay safe.                                                                             Roger

I'm doing my best! The weather reminds me of when I was just a pup. Lots of cold and snow around Wichita, KS.

Yesterday it got down to 7. Went out to start everything...the Ariens gave me a fit...but it started. Out of all the vehicles and equipment....2 didnt start yesterday. Today, -4 at 3:30 am.....0 by 10:30 am....Truck started.....nothing else did. All brand new batteries. Bought in October. Cranking wasnt a problem. Even the pull start stuff like the push mowers and the snow blower didnt start. Might have to take a space heater out to the garage later.

Did you put the correct viscosity in?

almost the same exact stats as here for the day......

and Leonard... you are way north of my area... how did you get 2x as "warm" as we did?  makes no sense... they are calling for ~17-18*F for a high the next 2 days, highest I saw was 22* forecast for next Tues. then drop again... great.

Pierre is a bit of a weird area, we are in the Missouri river valley so temps and weather are a bit different here. I'm still getting used to it after moving here from NE PA. AccuWeather on my phone says 13F right now.

Its got 5W in everything now. Every couple of days I go out and start everything. Things sit....things then the gum up and dont want to run when you really want them to run or need them to run. I need the Ariens to run for plowing right now and it got cold enough for stuff not to run. In a couple of days should it should warm up above 20 and all should be ok.

I'd bet you get alot of time off in the winter then huh? They show the Midwest maps and usually mention Duluth or International falls on the Chicago area weather reports....

Duluth is because of the lake and International Falls is almost as far north as some of Alaska. The Twin Cities stays much warmer.

I wont start anything I don't have to. going from the teens to operating temp quickly is hard on anything. Much of what I have I drained, lubricated and winterized and wont disturb them if not required until spring. Don

I'll take it... as long as it come with snow, it was -35c or -31F this morning.  No snow in the forecast... we need a bit more for snowmobiling!

Now we know who left the gate open. I was wondering if it was you or Oldedeeres that left the gate open.

yeah... it could be 25* warmer and 2 fingers on my left hand would still get numb after a short time outside until I come into the warmth.... a whole 3*F  here  (above 0) as I am headed out the door to head to work...

Ive been told it's from years ago I must have had then frostbit, back when I didn't mind the cold so much.... I have never been able to work very well with gloves on.

This cold doesn't work well for as my feet and hands get cold quickly and that only has been since I had a heart attack some years ago.
