Yesterday it got down to 7. Went out to start everything...the Ariens gave me a fit...but it started. Out of all the vehicles and equipment....2 didnt start yesterday. Today, -4 at 3:30 am.....0 by 10:30 am....Truck started.....nothing else did. All brand new batteries. Bought in October. Cranking wasnt a problem. Even the pull start stuff like the push mowers and the snow blower didnt start. Might have to take a space heater out to the garage later.

Had -15 F this morning.  Only thing I tried to start was the 4 wheeler to haul bird feed to the storage shed.  Battery was getting bad earlier this month so didn't surprise me it wouldn't crank.  Battery probably froze.  Did not need anything else so din't try to start it.  Truck started right off at -7 yesterday morning.  Why try and start something just to see if it will ?  Don't make any sense to me.  When/if I need to move some snow will put a charger on the battery and a forced air heater at the side of the engine for about 15 min and it will fire right off.

-10 in Cedar Rapids when I started Jeep to drive to the church.  Saw -14 as I got outside of town.  The concrete slab church facing west is not a comfortable place in weather like this.

Yup was -10 outside at 4 am when I had to get up. Hour and 1/2 sooner than a normal work day, but I hadn't slept much anyway up until that point, I have a cold related thread elsewhere from earlier today.
Just saw +9* a few minutes ago on my way back from town. Canada come get your weather we don't want or need it here.

As it turns out Camino kid is not that far from me, a couple of hours south west. We got it too. The last couple of winters have been weird, as I have heard they have had a few winter storms that have missed me
I wish the cold could do the same thing.
Nothing personal there but this cold crap sucks.

the weather guessers have said the last couple of days that our average high temp this time of year is 32*f, sounds like we will barely hit 20 a couple of the next 10 days.

I'd bet you get alot of time off in the winter then huh?  They show the Midwest maps and usually mention Duluth or International falls on the Chicago area weather reports....

It's cold down here too! Have a couple days that will get just under normal average, then it's back in the freezer! Glad the wood stove is working good, but I'll need more wood if this keeps up!

Not near as cold as a lot of you guys with a high of 25°. But I am not acclimated to anything under 20° yet. House is cold, I am cold. It is gonna be a long 10 weeks.

I'll take it... as long as it come with snow, it was -35c or -31F this morning.  No snow in the forecast... we need a bit more for snowmobiling!
