I have been collecting parts for this particular build for a while. With the help of Dropped, I was able to get the ball rolling.

I had this Amf for a while and is a solid start but a bunch of small issues. The lift valve is seized and broke and the lift cylinder is badly pitted and rusted. The k321 was bored .030 over by someone who didn't know what that was doing.

I bought #6 1414 from Dropped and used parts from my other parts 1414s. My plan is to repower with this mint k341 I have, replace the lift cylinder and valve, new hoses, 26x12-12s on back and 18x9.5-8s on front. I have a cat 0 3 point that's getting installed and a custom dash going on. It is not getting restored because I don't have the time because I am moving in the spring.

Today I was able to swap oil pans with new gaskets from the original k321 to the new k341. I also install the pto, and installed the engine in the tractor. Went smoothly.

Tonight is a slow night, waiting on a hydraulic lone and the disc brake parts. I mounted the 18in front tires and it's starting to look beefy. I need to figure out the exhaust before mounting the front grill.

You did make sure the oil slinger on the rod wouldn't hit the pan?

Yes sir, I am very familiar with these old kohlers. I have bought out several small engine shops and hoarding nos kohler parts. One can never have enough parts

Today was a fun and productive day. Installed the new hydraulic lift valve, mounted, worked on the electrical a little, mounted the 26x12-12s. I need to get 2in wheel spacers so I can clear the 3 point. I am patiently waiting on my new hydraulic hose and my disc brake parts.

Does anyone happen to have the tools to rebuild a welded hydraulic lift cylinder?

Does it leak?

IMO, if it doesn't leak, I'd leave it alone.

The one on the Amf I habe is badly pitted and is beyond repair. This is the one from yours. It was leaking and the seal is damaged

Good looking & aggressive. I like the tire choice. I need to do something on my Mtd990. I've never been happy with the stock size in the front.

Is it an external seal? If so, you might try drilling and screwing in a small screw to pull on.

The 26x12-12s are a Craigslist find. New factory take offs and cost me 100 bucks for the set. The 18x9.5-8s I got from my dad's estate. I like budget builds like this so I can afford to do the high end builds on the rarer tractors. The early 990s had a 3 bolt front hubs and I would like a set to upgrade the amf to a beefier setup
