I have a massey 1010, lately while cutting my lawn the motor gets hot after about 20 minutes and the anti freeze begins to boil out of the rad ,what might be the problem?

Have you tried blowing out the Rad.Lots of times the radiator will suck stuff into the fins and It'll need to be blown out with compressed air to clear all the stuff out to allow free air flow.Another thing that it could also be is that you have a faulty thermostat. It could be sticking shut thus preventing the water pump from exchanging cool water from the rad into the motor.Larry

I think you hit it right on the head.
Hopefully it's not a head gasket.

Only thing I could add is that the radiator could be gunked up inside, but doubtful that is the problem. More likely as Larry said, a dirty outside radiator, or thermostat bad.

If my thermostat is bad where might I find one as the Massey dealer here does not have any and can't find any locally,I will try blowing out the rad first

Seeing your in PEI do you have Napa,Parts Source,Canadian Tire ??? Any of them should have just take your old one with you and they'll beable to cross reference one.Not sure if your thremostat housing has a gasket or o-ring.You can get some gasket material to make a new gasket at the same time and if its a o-ring you can get one as well while your at the parts store.Larry
